Faculty experiences

Over the years, GESP office is working with its global partners to provide opportunity for faculty to gain international exposure for their research and teaching; which opens-up possibilities to develop long-term projects. GESP also facilitates international visiting faculty to engage with Ashoka community through teaching, research stays and short exchange visits.

Amherst College, USA

A faculty exchange agreement in place: Annual call for application takes place to select faculty for the exchange. For 2023, Prof. Sanjukta Datta has been selected

Linnaeus University, Sweden

As part of a grant collaboration with Linnaeus University (LU) in Sweden, a faculty exchange programme is in place, in 2023, Prof. Alex Philips, Prof. Mahesh Rangarajan and Prof. Gaurav Garg visited LU.

Lehigh University, USA

Prof. Meghna Agarwala presented her work to Lehigh University faculty group during their retreat at Rishikesh in May-end. A faculty exchange agreement has been signed in 2023, call for application to open in 2024. Stay tuned!

Northeastern University

Prof. Liza Weinstein from NE leads a summer faculty led programme to Ashoka which is attended by both NE and Ashoka students. The field-based ethnography course allows intercultural exchange and develops field-research skills for students.
