Environmental Economics

The course aims to analyze issues arising from interaction between environment and economy. The course is divided into four parts. First part delves into the basic theory of externality, public goods. In the second part talks about valuation of environmental benefits and damages which then leads to examining policy instruments for pollution control. Lastly the course delves into issues associated with climate change and policies for their mitigation.

Prerequisites: ECO 2102 (Microeconomic Theory II), ECO-2400 (Econometrics)
