Ashoka University Honoured with Prestigious Award for Safe Working Environment

Ashoka University’s steadfast commitment to ensuring workplace safety and well-being has been recognised by the Labour Department, Government of Haryana. Among the various categories of awards conferred by the department; Ashoka received the ‘Runner-Up Best Safe Working Condition’ accolade for maintaining a safe working environment at its under-construction site. The award was presented by Rajeev Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary, Labour Department, Haryana. This achievement further validates our dedication to maintaining exemplary safety standards across all operational and developmental areas.

Narender Malik, EHS Manager at Ashoka University, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the institution on January 27, 2025. He has been instrumental in managing the safety of the entire campus, including both operational areas and the under-construction sections of Ashoka University. His deep expertise, unwavering commitment to the EHS domain, and exceptional efforts in fostering a culture of safety have been pivotal in achieving this remarkable milestone.
