As Ashoka completes 10 years of work and of building an institution, it is certainly a moment of great jubilation for all of us who have been involved in the making of Ashoka University. But, we should also pause and think that in the life of a university, 10 years is less than a blink. A university is measured in terms of centuries, not in terms of years.
10 years of Ashoka, while it has been a fantastic and fabulous journey, should also prepare us for the work and the challenges that lie ahead. Ashoka cannot shirk from the standard of excellence that it has set.
I want to thank and congratulate every single individual who has been with Ashoka, worked in Ashoka, helped to promote Ashoka, funded Ashoka, studied in Ashoka, and taught in Ashoka. I also want to remind them that there is work that lies ahead.
The milestone of 10 years is worth celebrating and also a time to take our work forward. Once again, a big thank you to everyone.
