Mathematics in 11th and 12th is compulsory for this major. Students will have to do 9 courses each in Economics and History. All Economics courses are those which are compulsory courses for Economics Major. Detailed descriptions of history courses can be seen here.
For the graduating batch of 2019: Students will have to do at least eight (8) courses each in Economics and History. The 8 Economics courses include all those courses which are compulsory for a pure Economics major and one elective course. Detailed descriptions of history courses can be seen here. Within the history courses, students have to complete:
3 of the 4 History Gateway Courses (HIS 101 Modern Europe, HIS 102 Ancient India, HIS 103 Medieval India, HIS 104 Modern India)
1 History reading course (HIS 201 Reading History)
3 History elective courses. Note, one CTS may count as an History elective.
1 History Undergraduate Research Thesis/Project (HIS 401 or HIS 402)
