Visiting Student Programme
Ashoka University welcomes undergraduate students of international institutions from across the globe to experience the university’s unique academic offerings through the Visiting Student Programme.
The Visiting Student Programme is specifically designed to foster the exchange of ideas between the undergraduate students of international institutions and those at Ashoka. The residential campus provides a great opportunity to learn about India and get a global perspective through discussions and discourses both inside and outside the classroom. The campus is located near the capital city, New Delhi; and visiting students may travel and explore the vibrant, multi-cultural metropolis and beyond during their time at Ashoka.
The Visiting Student Programme is designed for undergraduate students currently enrolled full-time at a partner institution of Ashoka University or any other institution abroad.
Visiting students from partner institutions should check with their International Office for their nomination process to apply to Ashoka as a part of the exchange agreement between the two institutions.
Visiting students from other international institutions can write to us at email@example.com for a semester or an academic year at Ashoka. Queries to spend summer at Ashoka can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.

With comfortable rooms, fully-equipped common lounges, sports facilities and sprawling lawns, the Ashoka University campus is designed for a vibrant student life. Students can choose from a range of sporting activities including football, frisbee, lawn tennis, basketball, swimming, table tennis, cycling and jogging. Student clubs and societies of academic and extra-curricular nature cover a wide range, from debate society to anime club. Visiting students can actively use these facilities and participate in all the events during their time at Ashoka.
"The best advice I was given was not to expect to get the same out of the courses as the full-time students do. For them, they are foundation courses, but for International students they are more of a window into a different learning culture - the value for me in doing the Summer Semester was the experience of thinking about the same things in a different manner."
Benjamin Cox - King’s College London (Summer 2017)
"At Amherst, I often hear we, the students, will be the leaders of our generation. The same can be true for Ashoka. The quality of education here is excellent — startlingly so for such a young institution. The students are smart, ambitious, and forward-looking."
Shantanu Havaldar – Amherst College (Spring Semester 2017)
"My experience at Ashoka University is above all my expectations. For the past 3 months, I have experienced the Ashoka students’ lifestyle marked by sport, conferences, and events of all kinds. Meeting people from different parts of the world is also a great experience. On the academic level, I enjoy classes at Ashoka, the professors are excellent and learning with them is an honour. Through their advice, they help me to develop my critical mind. Ashoka is definitely an inspiring university."
Beatrice Huon - SciencesPo (Academic Year 2017-18)
