Mahi holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver (UBC). Passionate about research in psychology and the socio-political contexts surrounding human behaviour, she has worked as a research assistant at the UBC Centre for Infant Cognition and UBC MAGIC Lab, focusing on the motivations of individuals. She has also worked as an intern for the Ashoka Centre for Well-Being, as a Communications Project Assistant at BC Children’s Hospital, and volunteered as a Math tutor at CUBS Vancouver. In her free time, she likes to read, cook, and watch stand-up comedy. Through the YIF, Mahi hopes to gain a holistic understanding of various topics like policy-making and mental health to further progress her research in Psychology.
