Mohammed Rayaan

Mohammed Rayaan found his passion for writing while pursuing mechanical engineering. In 2018, he became a journalist and joined News Today, an evening daily and for its weekly tabloid Talk Media. He then worked for DT Next and later joined The Hindu BusinessLine as a sub-editor. After receiving a scholarship from Meta Journalism Project, he pursued the Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators Program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, and now runs ‘The Chennai Emailer’, a local journalism newsletter. A huge Marvel fan, Rayaan is passionate about creating sustainable newsrooms, community building, start-ups and the creator economy.At the YIF, Rayaan hopes to upskill his entrepreneurial spirit, learn from his fellow cohort members and embrace the opportunities that come his way.
