YIF Class of 2025
BA (Individual Concentration), Diaspora Development through Performing Arts, University of Massachusetts, AmherstNandini Srivastav is a community builder, identity researcher, and artist. She brings extensive experience in community outreach, development, and legal research, having worked with law firms, NGOs, artists, and underserved communities across Germany, the US, and India. She designed her own degree in Diaspora Development through Performing Arts in the US and delivered a TEDx talk in April 2022 about her nonprofit project, Ruhaniyat, which supports community artists in India.
A professional Kathak dancer and singer, Nandini envisions pioneering a movement focused on identity building in displaced communities through socio-cultural education grounded in the performing arts. At the YIF, she aims to deepen her understanding of impactful social development, emphasising socio-cultural and economic inclusion, while researching hands-on approaches to identity building through the performing arts.
