Ph.D. University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, IndiaRajat Srivastava holds a Ph.D. and has completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Hyderabad, India. His doctoral research focused on “Screening of Tomato Germplasm and Functional Characterization of Candidate Purple Acid Phosphatase Genes Under Phosphate Deficiency.” During his postdoctoral tenure, he worked on the “Development and Pilot-Scale Production of a Novel Nano Fertilizer (nDAP) and a Nanobiopesticide (Hairpin-loaded Chitosan).”
During his Ph.D., Rajat published numerous research and review articles in prestigious journals such as Planta, Plant Science, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Plant Cell Reports, and Physiology and Molecular Biology of Plants. One notable publication, “Identification, Structure Analysis, and Transcript Profiling of Purple Acid Phosphatases Under Pi Deficiency in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) and Its Wild Relatives,” was published in the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules and earned incentives from IOE.
Additionally, he authored a chapter titled “VIGS-Based Gene Silencing for Assessing Mineral Nutrient Acquisition” in the book Plant Gene Silencing. Rajat qualified for the CSIR-JRF/LS and GATE fellowships, further validating his academic proficiency. He received certificates from the University of Hyderabad for publishing in high-impact factor journals.
Currently, Rajat is working as a deputy manager focused on grant and scholar management. In grant management, he facilitates grant submissions and maintains the grant database.
