Seema Bansal

Seema Bansal is the Vice-Chairperson at the Punjab Development Commission since Nov 2023. The PDC is set up as a think tank as well as an action acceleration unit within the Government of Punjab.

Before joining this role, Seema worked at The Boston Consulting Group for 23+ years. She led the firm’s Social Impact practice in India as well as Asia Pacific.

Seema has pioneered the concept of Impact consulting not only within BCG but also for the country as a whole fostering numerous organisation to rethink the way they engage in development and in partnerships with the Government. A majority of Seema’s direct work has been with Central and state governments including Niti Aayog, Ministry of Skills, Ministry of Food and Civil Supplies as well as the states of Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Jharkhand, MP, and Odisha. She has also worked with numerous foundations, development sector organizations, and multilaterals like the World Bank.

Seema is deeply passionate about the intersection of education and social impact. Seema is a TED and a TEDx speaker. Her TED talk on education reforms has 1.5M views.
