Simarjit Singh Ahluwalia

Simar is a traveler from the future who is utterly fearless and makes daring choices that work, against all odds. He has been an active public speaker throughout his undergraduate degree and headed the debating society. Debating has been the single most defining feature of his college life and has given him experiences and knowledge. It has allowed him to learn important values, challenge his own beliefs and become more empathetic and sensitised in general. Realising the importance and benefits of critical thinking and debating, he coached more than 50 high school students, some of whom were selected to represent India for the World School Debating Championship. Apart from debating (or because of debating), his interest lies in gender studies, politics and international relations. Born and brought up in a very unidirectional setup, he wishes to realise his strengths and passions via an incredibly diverse curriculum and an incredibly diverse cohort.
