Sobhana holds an undergraduate degree from Miranda House in History and Sociology. She has published multiple essays on gender, history, caste and the environment. Despite her South Indian heritage, she considers the city of Delhi her home, despite the ravages of its weather. She will take you up for a food and heritage walk anywhere in the city. She spent a year backpacking in Kerala, reinforcing her love for travel and the environment. She experiments with her poetry and street photography to create literary-visual narratives of the world. Among other things, she is an aspiring feminist documentary filmmaker, novelist, solo backpacker and cat mother of the Delhi strays. At the YIF, she wishes to explore as many avenues as she can to escape from a world that desperately tries to mould you for one box only.
