Soumya Vats

Soumya holds an MA in Film and Media Studies from the School of the Arts at Columbia University. Her Master’s thesis examines censorship in the transnational streaming series A Suitable Boy. It explores the politics of Partition within the context of ongoing nationalistic events through a gender lens. She has previously worked in nonprofits, museums, and film testing. A media enthusiast, she is often found shifting from podcasts to documentaries to sitcoms, when she is not already at the movies.
