Master of Public Health, SCTIMST, Trivandrum, KeralaDr. Suganthi Jaganathan is a dentist with public health training. After completing her Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery (BDS), she did her Master of Public Health from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum, Kerala, India. She is affiliated with the Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC), New Delhi, India, and worked as a Senior Research Associate at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). Currently, she is pursuing Ph.D. from the Institutet of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. Her projects are focused on the health impacts of air pollution. Her research interests are environmental epidemiology, especially air pollution and cardio-metabolic health outcomes. She is involved in projects like India GEOHealth Hub, a research and capacity building in the field of environmental health and air pollution and health effects across the lifespan in specific Indian cities funded by Fogarty International Centre (FIC), National Institutes of Health, and Climate Health and Air pollution in India (CHAIR India), studying health effects of air pollution at the national level, all-cause mortality, and cardio-metabolic health outcomes funded by FORMAS, A Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development.
